Yay I´m 6 - Page Drafts #36

The first day of a new month means reveal day with Page Drafts. Today´s reveal of 5 New sketches by the Nifty Pixel together with the digital kit "Hearts a Flutter vol 3" is so inspiering!

Since I am the Guest Designer for Pion Design in November & December this page for the realease was made with Pion papers.

I used the Edvins World paper from the My Beloved son as my background paper. To "seal" it and prep it for wet mediums I covered it with clear gesso.

I cut out the butterflies from the border paper & the tag from the tag paper that comes with the same collection.

The journaling piece comes from the same paper.

Material used: Patterned paper; Pion Design "My beloved Son" (Edvins world, tags & borders). Embelllishments: Chipboard from 3rd Eye. Stamps from Keisercraft & Paper Wings Productions. Acrylic paints from Ayeeda/13@rts. Spary ink from Dylusions. Clear gesso from Prima Art Basics.

Pion Tag - Mixed Media Place Creative Gym #1

This challenge from Mixed Media Place was just up my alley. I mean just the word Gym made me jump with joy. One thing I spend almost as much time doing as creating is going to the gym... Tusia is the creator of this first "gym Exercise". The task is to:

1. Use black
2. Use white
3. Use grey
4. And - add one more color of your choice.

I made this tag using Pion Design papers and different mediums.

The base is a plain vanilla colored tag, that I first covered with white gesso in a quite thick layer. After drying I sprayed on black and grey spray ink. When dry I applied Structure paste trough a stencil, a bit of white & pink ink splatters and the embellishments. The metal embellishments where covered in clear gesso first, then a bit of spray ink and clear crackle.

Materials used: Patterned paper Pion Design From Grandma´s Attic (PD 138). Mediums: Prima Art Basics Heavy Gesso & Clear Gesso. Prima Art Extravagance Texture Paste Clear Crackle & White Sand. Inks from Heidi Swapp Color Shine (Tinsel), Dylusions (Bubbelgum pink & Black Marble), Studio Calico (white). Flower from 13@rts .

Hang Tight - 7 Dot´s Studio October Challenge

I always have a lot of textures and layers on my projects, so the October Challenge at the 7 Dot´s Studio blog was really a thing for me. I bought the entire Destination Unknown collection this weekend and couldn´t use them fast enough! Perfect for this project and perfect for this photo of my son Max.

First of all I prepped my base paper with clear gesso. After drying I added clear cracle trough a stencil. The fact that I had forgot to clean my stencil from the last use and the color left on it "blead" into the crackle paste gave it a rather cool dimension.

The square pattern was made with white sand structure paste and then I had the opportunety to try Texturez paste from Shimmerz and that gave my background last dimension.

I love how the page turned out. It´s a bit settled even though there is a lot off different mediums and layers on it.

Material used: Patterned papers: 7 Dot´s Studio Destination Unknown "Celestial". Embellishments: 7 Dot´s Studio Destination Unknown Elements, Element Stickers and Word Stickers. Alphas from American Crafts & Jillibean Soup. Chipboard from Cocoa Daisy. Ink & Mediums: Prima Art Basics Clear Gesso, Prima Art Extravaganca Texture Paint White Sand & Clear Crackle. Shimmerz Texturez (Artie-Choked). Stencils from 3rd Eye and Crafter´s Workshop. Thread.

Everyday - Scrap Around the World

I have been to a fun and inspiering crop this weekend, created a lot and now it feels like I just want to create, create, create every minute of the day.

On of my creations from this weekend is this card I made for the October Challenge with Scrap Around the World. The moodboard was really inspiering I think.

And this is my card:

I have used a piece of cardstock that was left after a workshop I held on the crop this weekend. I demonstrated different ways of using wet mediums, crayons and other pencils.

For ever Rain {Video}

I made this layout with inspiration from this moodboard at the Lemon Owl blog.

The mix of colors are gorgeous and really inspiered me. The layout also comes with a little video tutorial down below...

I took this photo one day while waiting for the bus to leave for work. I love how the rain keeps on pouring even though the sun shines. Just marvellous how the fall weather can be!

The little beads was a gift from my mom.
